in very rare cases your internal yeast becomes over grown but in general taking a acidophilus pill will help control it

It sounds like BV or Bacterial Vaginosis

usually a bad smelling discharge is what usually brings the woman into the doctor. It is described as whitish with a gray or yellowish tint. It is thin and watery. It may get worse after her period or vaginal sex. Some have sensations of itching or burning. Women sometimes confuse this with yeast infections. Yeast does not look, nor smell, nor feel like Bacterial Vaginosis. The reason women mix them up is because they are the two most common vaginal infections.

Also YEAST can be a problem for diabetic women. Don't drink any sugary drinks, eat candy etc. See if that helps.
You need to find out what is causing it, the pill, imbalanced hormones or bad diet can be culprits. I wouldn't leave something you have had for months - I would recommed an alternative practistioner such as a herbalist, doctors don't always have the time for going into detail.
