2 months late and i keep getting Neg hpt's?

ok so my last period was June 24th and we're now in Sep. and i still haven't had a period, i took many hpt's of different brands and they all came out Neg, i have been late before but not this late. In the middle of July i started spotting like a brownish color and i thought my period was going to start possibly even early but sure enough i spotted for 3 days then it stopped. Aug. came around, and some time in the beginning of the month i started spotting again and i was sure my Period was going to start, it was a pinkish color and it only lasted 1 day. So i went to my Dr. 2 weeks ago and took another pregnancy test and it came out Neg. I've had headaches, soreness in my lower back, and i get pain in my lower abdomin area. I'm really crossing my fingers that i'm preg but i'm losing hope i've had too many negatives is this normal? Anyone have the same problems or suggestions?

i would go to the doctors and have them do an ultrasound and blood test. my friend had this happen to her and she took a pregnancy test and it was 2 negatives, one positive. she went to the doctors adamant she was pregnant and he didnt believe her. a month later she was rushed into hospital and went straight under the knife because she had and ectopic.

i dont mean to be the bringer of what could be bad news but ectopics can kill as they cause internal bleeding so please be strict about this with your doctor and make sure something is done to rule this out.

tell them your worried that this might be what is causing all this and make sure they take you seriously. do not leave until something is done.

my friend eventually got it dealt with and because of an infection caused by the late op, she had to have a hysterectomuy as well so now she will never have children. this is important so sort it out immediately.

Take care x

You should have an ultrasound. If you are pregnant you will see the baby, if not they will be able to look for whatever else would be causing this. I know of another person whose doctor swore she was not pregnant until they saw the baby on the ultrasound. Good Luck!
I've sworn off using urine pregnancy tests at work (I work in an Emergency Dept) after too many false negatives and positives. The ONLY accurate way to determine whether a woman is pregnant is on a blood test call BHCG. This will determine, from very early on, whether you are pregnant. Qualitative (reported as positive or negative) hCG testing is routinely used to confirm pregnancy. Quantitative (reported as a specific number) hCG testing (also frequently called beta hCG), measures the actual amount of hCG present in the blood. In non-pregnant women, hCG levels are normally undetectable. During early pregnancy, the hCG level in the blood doubles every two to three days. The normal level is %26lt;2 for non pregant women. For pregnant women the following levels apply:

1 week since conception: 5-50 mIU/ML hCG

2 weeks since conception: 20-500 mIU/ML hCG

3 weeks since conception: 500-5,000 mIU/ML hCG

4 weeks since conception: 3,000-19,000 mIU/ML hCG

8 weeks since conception: 14,000-169,000 mIU/ML hCG

12 weeks since conception: 16,000-160,000 mIU/ML hCG

An ultrasound can confirm the presence of a gestational sac by the 6-7 week mark - so a blood test is more accurate in the early stages of pregnancy. The symptoms you are describing can be related to anything - being fixated on wanting to be pregnant can easily make you think you might be. Its called wishful thinking. Best of luck with falling pregnant. If difficulties conceiving persist then see your local doctor for advice on calculating your ovulation times in your cycle - which might help.
I'd be asking for a blood test and an ultrasound (sonagram). Pregnancy tests can often give a false negative (if there is not enough hormone present in the urine). Have you had other symptoms, like swollen sore breasts, nausea, tiredness? I'd be pushing for other tests to make sure that everything is ok, and an ultrasound should quickly show you what's going on.
